Portchester Beer Festival 2010

The festival was once again a great success, raising the magnificent sum of £3,600 for the Fire Fighters Charity. During the day we had a special bucket being passed around and raised £102 to be paid directly into the bank account of the fund for the two Hampshire Fire Fighters who were tragically killed the week before in Southampton. Thanks to you all for digging even further into your pockets for this. Due to an emergency appeal for funds, the committee also decided to make a special £200 donation to the Lennox Childrens Cancer Trust. Our thanks also go to  the nine companies that sponsored a cask. Please see the Supporters tab for details and please do use these companies where possible.

The sun was out for the afternoon session and the Victory Morris moved outside for part of their performance. Co-organisers Adrian Walter & Gill Stone were roped into some Morris Dancing. Both have been told to stick to the day job!!! The evening session was as busy as we have seen it and Shep Woolley provided the entertainment during this session free of charge. Many thanks to both for giving up their time.

We hope you all enjoyed the day and remember, its 2nd April 2011 for the 9th Portchester Beer Festival. If you know of any companies or if your own company would like to be a sponsor, please contact Adrian Walter, Gill Stone or Steve Turp as we would be happy to hear from you.
